John & Willie Mae Mims idolized the incredible symbol that Morningstar has stood for through many many years. The Mooretown community as a whole has benefited tremendously from the values this church has instilled in its youngsters and ultimately providing the inspiration that we can make it in this world. I'm living proof.

To our site administrator, Mrs. Helen Hunt. I just finish reading the Morning Star Facebook page. I am without words to express how you have used your expertise to make our web page and Facebook look just awesome. If I wasn't already a member, I'd try to get over to that church to see and hear the good news about the Lord. God is using you in a mighty way to bless His people. I wish all the congregation could see this wonderful work you are doing for us. Keep up the good work and I wish God's riches blessings on you and your family.

Let us work together as christian brothers and sisters. For God Is truly Good! Let us use the gifts that God blessed us with wisely and with strong conviction/emotion to reach out to the people who are hurting, helpless, helpful, poor, sick, unloved, sinful, lonely, lost, righteous, and available. Dear Morningstar sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I truly truly miss yall very very much. I was just going through a bad situation that would never got better so it was time for me to leave Shreveport. I am currently living in Round rock, Texas just outside of Austin, Texas. I am truly sorry about the loss of Pastor Hunt. He was really really a true inspiration to me. He has made my stay in Shreveport a great experience as well as Morningstar, so to make as long story short I really really didn't mean to leave without saying goodbye. I really really love yall very much. I think about yall everyday. Well in closing again, tell everybody I said hello. I am doing great down here. Tell the choir that I finally am singing a solo kinda cool huh, and I'm on trial to be a deacon so things are really really looking up for me. God is really keeping me. I'm working part time at fedex. Anyways, if you wanna stay in touch with me here's my email address: rodshelby34@hotmail.com, my facebook page is Roderick Shelby until then may God bless yall and may he continue to shower his love mercy and grace upon yall because MorningStar Missionary Baptist Church is the church with the people at heart, therefore, yall will always have a place in my heart. Your brother in Christ Roderick Shelby. Also, if you wanna write me my address is 1905 Hollow Tree Blvd. Round Rock, Texas 78681.
